Welcome to the Aaronstadt Blog

Welcome to the Recent Wedding Page. Here you can see a sampling of ~ 30 images from each of our recent weddings.

Weddings are posted in the order in which we shot them. Alternately you can locate a wedding in the list of 'Recent Weddings' on the right side of this window, click on the link and you will be taken to the sample images from that event.

If you are here shopping for a Photographer, we may have a sample of a wedding shot at your venue. Scroll trough the 'Recent Weddings' (right side of the window, in blue). Events are listed by the couples name, the venue, the date.

For additional info on Packages and Pricing, References and Resources including 'Wedding Day Advice' and much more use these links or the nav links on our Home Page.

If you are considering using Aaronstadt for your wedding photography we really appreciate that! We have been telling wedding day stories, with images, for many years and could not think of a better way to spend an afternoon, evening, weekend or whatever it takes to make those memories come alive again and again for you.

Michaela & Travis, The Foundry, 8.13.12

Michaela and Travis tied the knot, cut the cake, tossed the flowers and danced the dance on Monday, August 13th at The Foundry in Lake Oz.  The Foundry occupies the old Ram's head Brewery bldg off of Oswego Point Dr and is a beautiful venue set right on the river.  It has the distinction of having one of the most unique ceremony areas on the river, the top of a giant old pier casing, that can accommodate 100 people.  As the ceremony is happening, guests are siting 75 feet above the river with a stunning panoramic view.  Now, add to that equation a stunning bride and a handsome groom and you cannot go wrong in the image department.

We started the day at the Washington Pk Rose Garden, drove to the Vista Overlook and then to the Foundry for more B & G shots and family formals.

The bouquets and boutineers were created by Bella Bloom Floral. The ceremony was officiated by the Stepfather of the Bride, Bruce, and was a touching event with a father's gift of advice to the newly married couple. The festivities were guided by the hand (and voice) of Brett Bell of Encore Mobile DJ Service. The cake was provided by JacCiva's Bakery.

The party was great, the Bride and Groom had some great 'air' time and even provided some entertainment for their guests with a special dance. That they had prepared for weeks even months prior.  It included a costume change ads some rather precisely timed aerial work (well, . . . Michaela jumped into Travis' arms and he successfully caught her, but 'aerial work' sounds cooler doesn't it?)

Thans for a fun wedding guys!

Once again into the garden at Ainsworth House. Kimberly and Andrew were married on Sunday, August 12th under beautiful, (it a little hot) bright sunny blue skies.  Ainsworth house is in my opinion the perfect venue for a wedding; the grounds are magnificent, the staff is totally about customer service and making your event one to remember, and the list of recommended vendors is exceptional, we're on it, but it would be exceptional anyway, . . .

Kimberl and Andrew were just so much fun to be around, and their family! they imported a large percentage of the guests from Jersey and the New York area.  They really knew how to party!

Everything floral was brought to the party by Francois Weeks of European Design by Francois.  The centerpieces on each table were over-the-top gorgeous! The bouquets, boutineers and accents superb. Running the show was Nancy from Ainsworth H & G, one of our fav coordinators.  Ryan from Perfect Memory Events was our dj for the day. The cake, and the cupcake tower, were provided by Cupcake Jones.

What can I say, at the end of the evening I felt like part of the family, thanks guys!

Myra and Brien were married on August 11th at Lakeside Gardens, a hidden parklike venue off Foster Rd in S.E. Portland.  With two ponds, two gazebos, (two geese) a myriad of paths and trails, a foliage draped pergola and a decorative paver padded patio there are so any photo opportunities.  I could spend hours getting around to all of the different micro locations o this property.  We shared the Bride and Groom with Amanda and her team from Ambient Sky Productions as we created some stunning images for the happy couple.

The bouquets, boutineers .and floral accents were provided by Flowers Tommy Luke.  The ceremony was officiated by one of our favorite Revs, Steve Sharp, of A Beautiful Ceremony NW.  The festivities were directed by Nik, from A Sound Choice Entertainment.  The cake was created by La Joconde Cake Studio.

Amy & Scott. Hostess House, 8.10.12

To see more of Amy & Scott's  images, click HERE

Amy and Scott were married at the Hostess House in Vancouver.  The Hostess has a very pleasant garden with a creatively sculpted water feature and a wonderful gazebo.  We used all that the Hostess had to offer to create some romantic and fun images of the day.  Family and friends filled the chapel to capacity with love, laughter and bubbles.  So many bubbles, I even breathed a few bubbles, I'm lucky to be alive, bubbles don't taste so good but they look really cool.  I have never actually encountered THAT many bubbles at a wedding before.  The honors were performed by Chris Schwenneker, the minister at Amy's church

The music was provided by Bob Barrett, whose card I lost, but it was rockin!  He directed the festivities at the reception with exceptional expertise and panache.  The cake, dress, flowers and catering were all provided by The Hostess House so no more links there either.

It was a great party guys and that fine ride in which you left the party?, . . . nice!

Andrea & Joshua, Queen Anne

Bubbles floated on the breeze and sparks flew during the wedding celebration of Andrea and Joshua Schmidt on Wednesday at the Queen Anne Victorian Mansion.  At the 'Queen', a magnificent example of Victorian architecture in Portland, the opportunities for imagery are impressive.  The grounds lend themselves to several diverse looks and feels for ceremony and reception activities from 'Intimate Garden' to 'Fountain Patio' to GIANT 'Gazebo'.  Lush beauty and variety are good descriptive terms for  the Queen.

Andrea and Joshua chose the Garden for their ceremony which included a unity sand ritual and was officiated by Jack, the father of the Groom.

The flowers, bouquets and boutineers were created by Blooming Bouquets of Portland.  The DJ/MC  was Dennis of A.D. Entertainment.  The cake was provided  by Helen Bernhard Bakery, always a yummy choice!

It was a beautiful evening and I am soooo glad that we didn't set the Bride on fire!
