Welcome to the Aaronstadt Blog

Welcome to the Recent Wedding Page. Here you can see a sampling of ~ 30 images from each of our recent weddings.

Weddings are posted in the order in which we shot them. Alternately you can locate a wedding in the list of 'Recent Weddings' on the right side of this window, click on the link and you will be taken to the sample images from that event.

If you are here shopping for a Photographer, we may have a sample of a wedding shot at your venue. Scroll trough the 'Recent Weddings' (right side of the window, in blue). Events are listed by the couples name, the venue, the date.

For additional info on Packages and Pricing, References and Resources including 'Wedding Day Advice' and much more use these links or the nav links on our Home Page.

If you are considering using Aaronstadt for your wedding photography we really appreciate that! We have been telling wedding day stories, with images, for many years and could not think of a better way to spend an afternoon, evening, weekend or whatever it takes to make those memories come alive again and again for you.

". . . walk right in, it's round back
a mile and a half from the railroad track,
you can get anything you want
at Alice's restaurant, . . ."

da, da, dum dee dum,

". . . Purple haze, all in my brain
Lately things they don't seem the same
Actin' funny, but I don't know why
Excuse me while I kiss the sky
Purple haze, all around
Don't know if I'm comin' up or down
Am I happy or in misery?
What ever it is, that girl put a spell on me"

yeah, Arlo and Jimi would have fit right in with this crowd, . . .

Just outside of Coos Bay Oregon, Down past Charleston a ways, their is a wooded lane that meanders back into the hills. That's where Gloria and Pete and their family gathered for a wedding celebration last Saturday September 16, 2017. It was  staged in a field, in a valley, the very definition of pastoral (there was an actual 'pasture', with a horse and everything ). It was the perfect setting, the perfect day, the perfect couple and the officiant wasn't bad either.

We arrived just as the air was warming up to toasty and the sky was a beautiful blue with random fluffy clouds. Out walked Gloria, a vision, in this college hoodie that completely complimented the nature that surrounded us but at the same time made the definite statement, "I am here, now we can begin" in wonderful whimsical sort of way. Of course, Pete was right down the road and he looked really interesting.

We did indeed begin, we made some beautiful imagery together. It is so nice to photograph a couple so completely in love.

The ceremony was performed by Jon Green, a friend of Gloria and Pete's and included their own vows which caused no end of misty eyes amongst the family and friends in attendance.

After the ceremony we did some 'celebrating', it may or it may not have involved great whiskey, great cigars and some outstanding bud, can't say for certain, my memory of the experience is a bit cloudy.
I just remember the old saying, (maybe it's a new saying, . . . maybe it SHOULD be a new saying; "what happens in the hills up behind the sunset bay golf course STAYS in then hills behind the sunset bay golf course."

I am so sure that this will be one of "those" happily ever after stories. I'm still feeling happy and I'm not even sure why, . . . Thanks guys for letting us be part of your day.
