To see more of Shaina and Matt's images click HERE

A little bit of rain, a little breeze, some sun peeking through, we saw it all at the Fairgate Inn in Camas Washington where Shaina and Matt spoke their vows and made everything tidy and official on this past Sunday afternoon. There were lots of family and friends to wish the happy couple 'Mazal tov' and send then on their way to paradise (Maui that is) for a brief respite from the glorious spring weather we have been experiencing in the great Pacific Northwest.

The bouquets, boutineers and floral accents were provided by Angel at A Floral Affair,  The ceremony was spoken by Rabbi Rachel. Music was provided by one of our favorite artists Susan Langenes and a trio from Collage Music.  The meal was catered by the Fairgate  Inn. The cake was created by New Cascadia Bakery

Stacy and Clif were  married this past weekend at the Ainsworth House and Gardens.  It was a little chill in the air but the gardens are just beginning to bloom and promise to be exceptional this year.  The love, smiles, joy and happiness in the atmosphere created a perfect family matrimonial warm that kept everybody cozy!

Kevin Yell and accompanied by the piano artistry of Linda from Notes of Celebration. The delicious buffet was catered by Two Girls Catering. Michelle and Todd were married on Saturday February 23, 2013 at the Ainsworth House and Gardens. The event was small in numbers but large in love and emotion, with close family and friends wishing Michelle and Todd the best in their new lives together.

We had just enough of a break in the weather to sneak out for a few romantic snuggly shots on the porch. Then we played with the bridal party upstairs before joining the rest of the family in the conservatory for family formals.

The ceremony was presented by Rev. Kevin Yell and tears were flowing from several family members as Michelle and Todd spoke there vows to each other. How sweet they were.

The bouquets, boutineers and floral accents were created by Kay Deitl at Flowers for you.  The event was catered by Chef du Jour. The dj/MC for the day was Stephen from Media Jockeys / Celebration Music and Events.

Katie and Matt got married on a frosty January morning at the Ainsworth House in Oregon City. The weather however was the only thing remotely frosty at this wedding, there were lots of hugs and kisses, well wishes and warm snuggly looks being passed back and forth amongst the family, friends and significant others.  It was a wonderful day!

The traditional flowers; bouquets, boutineers, head piece and table accents were replaced by feathers that Katie the Bride created herself using peacock and other feathers.  They were beautiful accents of color. The Wedding Ceremony was presented by Fr. Kevin Yell and included some thoughtful and well spoken readings by family and friends.  The party was catered by Two Chicks and a Rooster.  The cake was provided by the Bride herself. Being a recent graduate of a culinary institute one would expect a an element of expertise and she did not disappoint, the cheesecake was delicious.

Off to Jamaica!  hope you guys have a warm and wonderful time

The New Year is a wonderful time for a wedding.  Chloe and Ryan picked the perfect January Day to get married at the Oaks Pioneer Church, or maybe their weather karma was just peaking, or maybe it was just plain old lucky-in-love, cup-runneth-over, blissfully happy stuff.  It was a special day for these two lovely people.  The Oaks Pioneer Church is a quaint and adorable historic (previously episcopal) chapel that makes a wonderful backdrop for pictures.  Chloe and Ryan stretched that little chapel to maximum capacity and more with all of their family and friend attending.  The wedding ceremony was beautifully presented by Pastor Roger Moore (Moore Creative Weddings).

After the ceremony, flower petals filled the air and a limo filled the street. We moved to the Ainsworth House Conservatory for the dinner, catered by Sara Bergandine and the team at Art de Cuisine and the party MC/dj'd by Lynn and Mark of Celebration Music and Events.  The cake was provided by Pastry Girls and included a Grooms cake as well as the traditional and beautifully decorated Wedding Cake.

To see more of Kass and Ben's images, click HERE

On a brisk, clear, beautiful New Years Day, Kass and Ben started the new year out with a party like many people do, however, it was preceeded by their wedding and what a wonderful wedding it was!
The festivities and the nuptials took place at the Ainsworth House.  It takes a master gardener to create a property that even looks beautiful within the clutches of winter.  The designers and creators wth the proverbial green thumbs did not disappoint on this day.  Stark and beautiful I believe are adequate discriptives.  With the chilly weather providing incentives, we used the property in different ways than we normally do getting beautiful images while staying warm and cozy.

The flowers, in beautiful, vibrant, striking colors and creative arrangements were provided by Jennifer Agard at Forte Floral Artistry.  The ceremony was wonderfully spoken by Fr. Kevin Yell who also happens to be one of the proprietors at the Ainsworth House.  Kass' father played a wonderful rendition  of Pacabel's 'Canon in D' for the processional on classical guitar.  The festivities were directed by Nancy, of the Ainsworth House.  Catering was provided by, Catering by Laurie.  Once the party started it was taken well in hand by Kris from Prime Time Music with lots of enthusiastic dancing and even a limbo!

Thanks for letting us be part of your New Years Day guys!

To see  more of WaWa and Moe's images, click HERE

Wa Wa and the 'Z' man got married in a cold, clear, beautiful day in December.  Nearly the last day of the year and definitely one of the finest winter days I can remember made for a wonderful backdrop to WaWa and Moe's celebration.  It was held in the newly completed Abernethy Wedding Chapel with the reception following in the Grand Ballroom.

The ceremony was well spoken and delivered by Pastor Mike Wilde, Senior Pastor of the Laurelwood Baptist Church that WaWa and Moe attend.  The appetizers and buffet were catered by the Abernethy Center, the Dj was Aaron from Jazz It Up productions. The Wedding Cake and accompanying cupcakes were provided by Debbie Ruckwardt, a friend of the Bride.

The most enthusiastic dancing as well as the grand entrance was to a song called 'Gangnam Style', yeah, THAT Gangnam Style, quite the moves from this crowd.

To see more of Sophie and Scott's images click HERE

This was just about as close to a fairy tale wedding (in a tent) that I have ever seen.  Sophie and Scott were married Saturday at the Royal Oaks Country Club in Vancouver, Wa. under a veil of soft cloud cover with occasional drain drops. That's what the bright red umbrellas were for, right?  Wow!, lots of color, an absolutely gorgeous bride and handsome groom, family love and affection, the admiration of friends who attended the ceremony where there was a standing room over abundance of adoring guests in attendance. What a wonderful way to spend a day and a tremendous start to Soph and Scott's life together!

The spectacular flowers and much of the facility design and decorations were the masterpiece creation of Sophie's Mom who also happens to be a professional florist.  The wonderful ceremony was presided over, eloquently spoken and masterfully delivered by our friend and step dad of the Groom, Michael Perrie.  The catering was provided by Royal Oaks Country Club. The DJ / MC / Director of Festivities was Kris from Prime Time Music.  The cake was from Lamb's Thriftway / Gateway location.

Thanks for letting us be a part of your celebration, that was quite a rambunctious crowd, LOTS of fun!

To see  more of Liz and Jeff's images click HERE

Liz and Jeff were married last Saturday afternoon at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Oregon City.   The bridal party was made up of Liz and Jeff's children, grandchildren and son-in-law.  It was definitely a family affair!  As as family goes, . . . Liz, you win the prize for the rowdiest bunch of sibs at a wedding and reception, wow, what great energy!

The reception was held at the Tualatin Country Club.  TCC also provided the cocktail hour appetizers and the dinner buffet.

The beautiful flowers were provided by Mt Scott Florist. The MC / DJ / Director of Fun and Games was one of our personal favorite wedding guys, Gavin, 'the Aussie DJ'.  The cake was deliciously (yes, . . I tasted it, . . . how else to give an objective opinion?) created by the Garden Home Lamb's Thriftway Bakery.

To see more of Dana & Warren's images click HERE

Dana and Warren were married Saturday at one of our favorite venues, The Ainsworth House and Gardens.  Even in the fall after many of the trees have shed their leafy mantles it is a joy to walk the paths in the gardens, read the plaques, see the statuary and the fountains, commune with the love and artistry that has created this oasis from the historal bones of this great old mansion.

The weather cooperated, our atmospheric karmic points paid off (though we weren't sure they would until the last moments).  There were beautiful flowers, some fall colors accenting the day, smiling and laughing children, happy and enthusiastic friends and family, a stunning Bride and a handsome Groom.
I love fall weddings! especially if it doesn't rain.

The aforementioned flowers were provided by 'Washugal Flowers'.  Our friend and favorite Reverend, Kevin Yell performed the honors; crossed the proverbial 't's and dotted the symbolic 'i's and made everything official. the festivities were directed and enhanced by our DJ / MC buddy Kris from 'Prime Time Music'.  The cake was created by Beaverton Bakery.  The buffet was catered by 'Catering by Laurie'

To see more of Michelle and Ryan's images click here

I think that we used up a great load of weather karma on this day as Michelle and Ryan were married.  If I remember correctly the weather forecast said, "start gathering animals two by two and build a BIG boat cause it's gonna pour", . . . or something similar to that effect.  Well, we slid in, the clouds slid out temporarily and we created some great images together.

Michelle and Ryan were married at the McLean House in West Linn, Oregon under an overcast sky that spread a wonderful, ethereal, even light across the park.  This was quite a diverse gathering of family and friends from as far away as Connecticut.

The flowers were provided by Sammy's Flowers.  The minister, . . . where have I seen that face before? He certainly delivered a wonderful ceremony which included a traditional handfasting.  Every one was hanging on his every word, . . . what a wonderful guy.  The Meal, a yummy combo of roast, potatoes and salad was served by the Mother of the Groom.  The DJ / MC for the evening was Gavin, The Aussie DJ.

Then the rains came, but the music was great enough that the guests braved the weather and gathered in the reception tent for dancing, laughing, drinking and other frivolous mayhem.

To see more of Kira and Allen's images click here.

Kira and Allen were married Saturday at one of Portland's Finest examples of turn of the century old world architecture, The First Presbyterian Church, at 12th and Taylor.  It is a grand edifice and was built in 1890 (at the present location).  The dark rich interior made for a wonderfully romantic and rich backdrop for Kira and Allen's wedding.

While Patrice was shooting Kira's preps, the guys and I were racing tricycles in the courtyard.  I know, racing, . . . it's a guy thing.  The ceremony was presented by Prof. Lanny Hubbard of the Portland Bible College. After the ceremony we went to the Eastside Esplanade for more pictures and then on to the re-imagined, rebuilt and newly occupied Ambridge Events Center for the party!

The beautiful flowers ( couldn't tell that they were artificial until you got REAL close), were created by Julie (the MOB, mother of the bride).  The meal was catered by Ambridge Events Center catering staff.  The cake was provided by Beaverton Bakery and included a wedding cake and cupcakes. The party was MC / DJ'd by Kody the BOB (brother of the Bride)

Thanks guys for a wonderful day, even though it sprinkled a bit the rain is a blessing on a wedding day because the rain is what creates all this marvelous greenery we celebrate in the Northwest. SO, . . . congrats !!

To see more of Ashley and Al's wedding images, click HERE

Howdy,

Y'all take a pretty white dress, put it on a Pretty Bride find a Groom that looks good in leather, jeans and a comfortable pair of boots.  Ad copious amounts of suede, blue frilly dresses, beer, good food, a country style designer motif and an ol' tractor sitting in a field. Mix it all together well with a generous portion of family and friends and a cute saloon with a wishing well in a country setting.  Add in a sunset to top it all off and what do you get? Ashley and Al's Wedding at Postelwaits Country Estate.

One of the most spectacular bouquets (an no-doubt the heaviest) I have ever seen was the creation and labor of love of Ashley herself.  Apparently she worked collecting pieces and searching out treasures for years prior to the wedding.  You will see a portion of that sculpture de' bouquetness in the expanded blog with more images to come in the compete gallery.
The dress was designed by Ashley's mother, (who also art-directed the cake), which btw was provided by Hank's Perfection Bakery and happens to be an in-store bakery at Hank's Thriftway.  We have never experienced a bad cake from Thriftway.  The meal was catered by Claey's Catering of North Plains.  The coordinator / MC / DJ for the wedding and reception was Shawn with the DJ Team at Event Team Entertainment.

Well done guys!

To see more of Jerusha and Phil's wedding images, click HERE

Jerusha and Phil were married under the grand evergreen that presides over the ceremony area at the Ainsworth House and Gardens. What a wonderful day it was with more kids and young adults that I have experienced at a wedding in a long time.  Lots of energy floating around!  Lots of love! Lots of Smiles!
The ceremony was Officiated by a Team of Officiants, Mike and Michael who presented a wonderful and personal ceremony for Jerusha and Phil.
The flowers were provided and created by Jerusha. The catering was provided  by, Catering by Laurie.
The cake was a creation of Sweetcakes by Melissa.
One of the highlights of the party was a 'teddy bear toss' for the ten and under crowd.  Children filled the room, stuffed animals filled the air, smiles and squeals of delight assaulted the senses and happiness did abound.
Wonderful day!

To see  more of Ashley and Scott's images, click HERE

Ashley and Scott were married at the Mission Milll Museum in Salem, Oregon.  that was just the ceremony, we got to know Salem pretty well by the end of the day.  Patrice started  out shooting the bridal preps at The Grand Hotel in downtown Salem while I had the guys at the Salem Towne community Center,  We had a good time, there was beer, there was a lot of jumping around, there was guy bonding.  Though, the 'Grand' had its own special qualities.  The shots in the lobby were extremely fine.  The ceremony took place in the The Dye Room at the Mission Mill Museum and was officiated by J.D., an Uncle of the Groom.  Prior to the ceremony we took pictures around the grounds.
After the ceremony we traveled back to the community center at Salem Towne for dinner and a party.
The catering was provided by Annette's Catering of Salem. The DJ/MC was Nick Ziebell.  The cake was made by a  friend of the Bride, Christine Thomas.
This crew knew how to party, there was incredible energy on the dance floor.  What a great group of friends and family.

To see  more of Miranda and Colin's Wedding Images Click HERE

Miranda and Colin were married at our home away from home (we wish!), The Ainsworth House and Gardens.  What a day it was! Lots of friends and family, lots of good food, beautiful flowers an absolutely sinfully delicious cake and a great party.  Well done guys!

The flowers were provided by Bev Hall, a friend of the Bride.  They were the most spectacular fall colors and a vivid accent to the day,  The cake was created by Amelia, another friend of the Bride.  Had to be  careful around that  cake it was the stuff addictions are made of,  I had to slap my hand to keep from reaching for seconds, or thirds, . . . I forget, . . .  to much sugar does that to me.  The catering was not done by a friend of the Bride.  It was actually a friend of the Groom, his name was Jeff.
The Officiant was none other than our fav on the altar, a man of the most exquisite cloth, the Priest and Father extraordinaire, Kevin Yell!
The MC/DJ was Denmark of Bridge City Music. He is such a fine director of festivities and knows how to rock the par tee!

Great couple, great ceremony, great eats, great party!

To see more of Heather and Stephen's images, click HERE

Heather and Stephen were married at McMenamin's Grand Lodge in Forest Grove at the Children's Cottage on a warm summer evening just as the sun set behind the trees.  The ceremony was presented and spoken in a most interesting and excellent manner by a charming and captivating Minister who exhibited exceptional charisma and eloquence as he administered vows and presided over the ring ceremony and a traditional handfasting, the signing of the certificate and the drinking of beers.

The ceremony was attended by a gathering of close family and friends including a substantial contingent (the Groom's family and cousins) from Ireland.  The later exhibited quite a lot of finesse and coordination, presenting the appreciative attendees with an Irish Jig to music played by a traditional Irish Band.

Who was that Minister?, did I mention that he was witty and frightfully good looking?

The party included a tasty catered meal by McMenamins, a yummy cake and an extra tray filled with diet killing desserts which I felt okay about indulging in since I saw the Minister going back for thirds, how does he stay so trim?

A wonderful treat near the end of the evening was the release of floating lanterns.  They made a beautiful sight as they tracked across the night sky raising into the air and floating towards an intensely agricultural grass crop area southwest of Forest Grove.  Not to worry though, I saw the Minister saying a prayer between mini-cheesecakes.

Great party Guys! . . . was that a siren I heard?

Gina & Faryar, Lakeside, 8.26.12

To see more of Gina and Faryar's  images click HERE

Gina in a fairytale gorgeous dress and Faryar in patent leather two tone-wingtips, great accents and comments on a creative, fun, frivolous, lovey day.  They were married at Lakeside Gardens in the patio gazebo with friends and family watching the ceremony which was performed by BJ Anderson. of Anytime Anywhere Weddings.

We started the day with the first look in the small lakeside gazebo, (the 'back' lakeside) and then strolled the gardens and the island creating some great images.

The flowers and lanterns were dreamed up and provided by Gina and Faryar themselves. The caterer was Lakeside Gardens.  The Dj was quite the talented dancer (think 'Hammer Time') and was a friend of the Bride and Groom.  The cake was created by Larson's Bakery.  It had one of the most obscure quotes incorporated into the design that I have ever experienced, . . .  still don't understand, suppose I never will, . . . look at the images for more on THAT.

This was a wonderful celebration and we're glad that we got to be there.
